Could you tell us a bit about what you do?
I started researching in the 1970s to find information on my ancestors and to find long-lost relatives. It was more of a hobby back then until I retired. That’s when it became more like a business. I research, compile, write stories, add photographs, set up an index, etc. Then I edit everything before preparing it for the printers.
To date, I’ve printed eight family tree books. Two of them ended up so large they had to be published as Volume l and Volume II.
Briefly describe what POD Print provides you.
On this project, I wanted spiral style bookbinding, as the books end up in museum libraries, and people will want to make copies of some of the pages. The spiral binding makes it easy for the books to lay flat on a copy machine.
Are there any specific printing-related challenges
you’ve come across in your work, and how were they resolved?
I’ve used different printing companies over the years and find they do not offer as many different options as POD Print. POD Print also provides much better paper quality, and the photos ended up much sharper and brighter. They printed the books just as I requested and even made suggestions that made the project perfect.
What qualities do you look for when choosing a printing company?
The different bookbinding styles they provide, the quality of paper and printing, and the willingness to work with me.
How did you hear about POD Print?
My neighbor told me about POD Print. She knew I had experienced problems with other printing companies.
How long have you been doing business with POD Print?
Only a few months, but I will be choosing them for my next book printing. These books will probably be hardbound.
Why did you choose POD Print?
Traci took me on a tour of the business, and I was very impressed with the book projects they were working on during my visit.
What would you tell others looking for a printing company?
Talk to Traci at POD Print. She can help you decide on what is best for your work project… or she will make sure it gets done in the way you prefer.
Tell us a little about yourself. What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m 78 years old & I love my work. When not at my computer, I like to watch DVD movies with my husband.
Do you have any overall feedback or advice for us as a company?
Keep up the excellent work. I’m so pleased with my books. I hope others who are thinking of putting together a genealogy book, will consider POD Print. They are the best.

I quickly learned that POD Print is enthusiastic, friendly, competent, and encouraging. Now when people ask me where I got my books printed, I don’t hesitate to tell them POD Print as well.
