Tell us a bit about what you do at POD Print.
I am the Manager of Production Operations. A normal day includes reviewing and coordinating our daily production schedule and customer interaction.
How long have you been with POD Print?
20 years.
What memorable project(s) have you been involved with?
It’s so hard to just pick one! For many years now I have had the pleasure of working with local educator Bill Hubert who created the Bal-A-Vis-X program. It has been hugely rewarding to provide printed collateral that supports the meaningful work he is doing while at the same time, developing a friendship. This year we assisted him with display items for a national conference he attended, and we’ve begun fulfillment services to support sales on Amazon.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to cook, and my favorite way to spend a weekend day is to entertain family and friends. I also love to travel!
What is your favorite thing about your job?
People! Whether it’s helping a customer or coaching a co-worker, I love that my job includes daily interaction with people!
What’s the one most important piece of printing
advice you have to share?
Take advantage of the proofing process! At POD Print we offer our customers a finished proof, not just press proof sheets so they know exactly what their project will look and feel like when it is delivered.
What motivates you to get up and go to work?
My love of PEOPLE motivates me to get up and go to work. I love working with customers at the start of a new project and then sharing those goals with our team and seeing them to completion.
When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time?
When I get a short spurt of free time, I usually use it to make a phone call and catch up with a friend.
What chore do you absolutely hate doing?
Laundry is the WORST!
If you could meet anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
I would very much enjoy having a conversation with Oscar Wilde.
